Steam Turbine Technical Advisor

Job Summary

Providing on-site technical direction, the full-time Steam Turbine Technical Advisor will maintain and perform mechanical services on Steam Turbine and Generator systems for utility and industrial power plants while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work on Steam Turbines, Generators, and Valves, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of turbine, valve, and generator components
• Support pre-outage planning and post-outage closeout by managing documentation and collaborating with team members and customers

Required qualifications

• Technical or university degree, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a Field Services role
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the power industry, including maintenance or installation of turbine generators
• Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine, Valve, and Generator mechanical systems and components
• Experience in dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling mechanical equipment during outages
• Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams
