Storage Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Storage Operations Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage and enhance Ceph-based Cloud Storage systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance while developing automation frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the Ceph-based Cloud Storage System regarding stability, scalability, functionality, performance, and cost
• Participate in design and architecture decisions for Ceph-based Cloud Storage and develop automation improvements
• Monitor Cloud Storage infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability while collaborating with Network and Operations teams

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of extensive experience configuring, deploying, and managing distributed systems
• Fluent in Linux (CentOS/RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu) with hands-on experience in cloud hosting, object storage, and block storage concepts
• Strong automation and scripting experience (Python/Bash/PHP, etc.) with knowledge of automation tools (Puppet/Ansible/Chef/Salt)
• Experience with performance tuning in virtualized environments and server hardware knowledge including IPMI and storage drives (SATA, NVMe)
• Familiarity with logging, metrics, and time series tools such as Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana is a plus
