Storage Systems Architect
Job Summary
To drive future vision and technical requirements for memory, storage, and data infrastructure, the full-time Storage Systems Architect will collaborate with OEMs, customers, and engineering teams while promoting AMD's datacenter system-level vision in industry consortiums, with the opportunity for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with OEMs, end customers, and ISV/IHV partners to define joint roadmap based on workload and use case plans
- Partner with engineering to drive reference platform requirements and provide a unified platform/system level vision
- Represent AMD's datacenter system-level vision in industry events and strategic partnerships
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of applicable experience
- Experience as lead architect/engineer for enterprise-level storage platforms/sub-systems
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, particularly x86, with additional CPU architectures being a plus
- Knowledge of storage protocols and architectures, including SSDs, NVMe, and RAID
- Experience with high-speed digital design, interconnects, and networking/IO technologies
