Store Designer

Job Summary

Responsible for the design and layout of retail stores, the full-time remote Store Designer will create preliminary floor plans, ensure compliance with design standards and building codes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review store layouts based on site surveys and CAD files, ensuring compliance with design guidelines and building codes
• Present and incorporate feedback on floor plans from internal teams, ensuring all operational needs are addressed
• Develop and produce architectural construction documents and manage project stages while coordinating with consultants and city officials

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in chain retail store design and/or CAD design
• Proficiency in architectural design programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup
• Working knowledge of governing construction codes and accessibility design guidelines
• Ability to create, read, and interpret construction documents and architectural drawings
