Store Designer

Job Summary

Managing the design and layout of retail stores, the full-time remote Store Designer will create preliminary floor plans, ensure compliance with design standards and building codes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Review site surveys and develop store layouts that optimize space usage while adhering to company design guidelines
• Present and incorporate feedback on floor plans from internal teams, ensuring all operational needs are met
• Develop and produce architectural construction documents, coordinating with engineers and city officials throughout the project

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in chain retail store design and/or CAD design
• Proficiency in architectural design programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup
• Working knowledge of governing construction codes and accessibility design guidelines (ADA, ANSI, Title 24, etc.)
• Ability to create and interpret construction documents and architectural drawings
