Strategic Communications Lead

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Strategic Communications Lead, this role will manage the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive communications program for Oregon Sea Grant, enhancing engagement with diverse audiences through effective content development and marketing strategies, with the option for remote or hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the communications program, developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns
• Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across digital platforms, ensuring scientific accuracy and cultural inclusivity
• Manage and supervise personnel, budgets, and projects while collaborating with various university units to promote ORSG's initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• At least five years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
• Experience managing digital platforms, including websites and social media
• Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing projects and budgets
