Strategic Payments Partnerships Director

Job Summary

Owning relationships with key financial services partners, the full-time Strategic Payments Partnerships Director will develop and execute strategies to enhance the adoption of Lightspeed Payments and Capital while collaborating with various internal teams and managing complex negotiations, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to win new merchants and convert existing ones into Lightspeed Payments and Capital users
• Own relationships with major card brands and financial services providers, creating joint business plans with clear priorities
• Lead negotiations and commercial structuring with strategic payment partners to balance growth and risk while optimizing payments economics

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing major payments providers and building relationships with companies like Fiserv, Stripe, and PayPal
• 3+ years of experience managing card-brand relationships with entities such as Visa and Mastercard
• 5+ years of experience in financial services strategy within fintech or payments contexts
• 3+ years of experience supporting product launches and market expansion in financial services
• 5+ years of knowledge in payments economics and the broader payments ecosystem
