Job Summary
To support the strategic planning process, the part-time Strategic Planning Consultant will lead the final phase of developing the Strategic Plan 2027-2031 for a nonprofit organization, focusing on structuring, drafting, and consolidating the plan based on existing inputs, while working remotely with one in-person session in Ecuador.
Key responsibilities
- Review existing strategic planning materials and conduct alignment sessions with the executive team to identify strategic gaps
- Draft the complete Strategic Plan 2027-2031 in English, incorporating strategic priorities, goals, and indicators through collaborative sessions with leadership
- Facilitate the finalization of the plan by incorporating feedback from the Board of Directors and preparing a presentation for review
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic planning with international NGOs focused on human rights, indigenous rights, or conservation in Latin America
- Ability to structure and draft high-quality strategic documents in both English and Spanish
- Experience working in organizations with matrix or multi-actor structures
- Knowledge of the funding ecosystem for global civil society organizations
- Skill in transforming existing materials into coherent and communicable documents
