Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Summary

Focused on developing sourcing and procurement strategies, the full-time remote Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead cross-functional sourcing projects, vendor selection, and contract management initiatives to support Vitalant's mission in improving lives through blood donation and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyze trends in commodity markets and Vitalant spend
• Evaluate RFI and RFP responses, leading a structured bid evaluation and selection process
• Negotiate contracts for equipment, supplies, and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Proficiency in developing RFP documents and conducting bid analysis
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management
• Ability to analyze market trends and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly
