Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Stream Processing Engineer with expertise in Apache Flink internals, this full-time remote position will focus on contributing production-grade code, debugging Flink internals, and improving stateful stream processing performance at petabyte scale.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute production-grade code to the Apache Flink project
• Debug and optimize Flink internals runtime, scheduler, state backend, and checkpointing
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on integrations and ecosystem work

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• Strong Java skills
• Experience with distributed systems and concurrent or parallel programming
• Working knowledge of stream processing concepts
• Familiarity with JVM performance characteristics
