Structural Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Structural Analyst for a remote contract position, the candidate will perform structural, functional, and dynamic analyses to validate performance, integrity, and safety of ground systems and umbilical hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural and dynamic analyses to validate umbilical system performance and evaluate load conditions under various scenarios
• Conduct structural and functional analysis of test fixtures and ensure compliance with operational loads and safety criteria
• Analyze launch pad structures and support infrastructure to validate system behavior under various loads

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in structural analysis of aerospace or ground support systems
• Strong proficiency with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, or Abaqus
• Solid understanding of static, dynamic, and thermal analysis, including load paths and stress evaluation
• Experience performing both hand calculations and numerical simulations
