Structural Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Structural Designer will create and modify CAD drawings based on engineering specifications, utilizing advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with Plant 3D or CADWorx.

Key responsibilities

• Create new drawings from as-builts, aerial imagery, field notes, and survey data
• Set up sheets, title blocks, notes, plans, and details for comprehensive drawing packages
• Modify drawings as directed by the Design Coordinator, Engineer, or Designer

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience with AutoCAD and either CADWorx or Plant 3D
• Ability to prepare CAD drawings based on engineering red line comments and sketches
• Experience in following client and company CAD standards closely
• Associate degree or completion of related technical school courses preferred
• Ability to self-manage workload and supervise a small design team
