Job Summary

To support the advancement of AI in structural engineering, a remote contract opportunity for a Structural Engineer AI Task Creator is available, where the engineer will design and evaluate AI training tasks based on real-world structural challenges, including seismic design and finite element simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Design AI training tasks rooted in real structural engineering problems, focusing on analysis, design, and code compliance
• Write clear problem statements and develop deterministic scoring checkers and reference solutions for each task
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and adherence to relevant engineering standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• Applied experience in structural analysis and design, with proficiency in software like OpenSees
• Familiarity with design standards such as ACI 318, AISC 360, or Eurocode
• Comfortable with concepts like pushover analysis and performance-based design
• Able to clearly formulate engineering problems and write unambiguous problem statements
