Structural Engineer (India)

Job Summary

Offering a fully remote contract opportunity, the Structural Engineer (India) will design and evaluate AI training tasks based on real-world structural engineering challenges, focusing on areas such as seismic design and finite element analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design AI training tasks that address real structural engineering problems, ensuring clarity and precision in problem statements
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers and reference solutions for each task, evaluating AI-generated responses for accuracy and compliance with relevant standards
• Work independently and asynchronously, providing expert feedback to enhance AI performance in structural engineering

Required qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field (BE/BTech required; ME/MTech or PhD is a plus)
• Applied experience in structural analysis and design, with proficiency in tools like OpenSees
• Familiarity with Indian and international design standards such as IS 456, IS 800, ACI 318, AISC, or Eurocode
• Comfortable with concepts like pushover analysis, nonlinear modeling, and performance-based design
• Able to formulate clear engineering problems and write unambiguous problem statements
