Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse prevention initiatives, the full-time Student Assistance Prevention Liaison will work remotely in schools and communities within Allegheny County, providing education, screening, and referrals to reduce risks associated with these issues.
Key responsibilities
- Provide education and resources to students and families regarding mental health and substance abuse prevention
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify at-risk individuals and facilitate appropriate referrals
- Collaborate with schools and community organizations to implement prevention programs and initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, drug and alcohol addiction, or education
- Two or more years of experience in the behavioral health field
- Current valid PA Class I driver's license and personal vehicle required
- Act 33 and 34 clearances, and Department of Education and Public Welfare Fingerprints required
- Strong communication and computer skills
