Student Financial Services Counselor

Job Summary

Assisting students and families with financial aid applications and planning, the part-time hourly Student Financial Services Counselor will provide customer service, manage financial aid awarding, and review student eligibility while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial aid and financial planning assistance to students and families via various communication channels
• Review financial aid applications, award financial aid, and resolve eligibility issues for students
• Counsel military-connected students on education benefits and ensure timely certification of VA enrollments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• One year of financial aid experience and one year of experience with Student Information Systems
• Proven exceptional customer service skills
• Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and appreciation for the values of the institution
