Student Loan Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Student Loan Counselor to assist delinquent borrowers and prevent default.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact delinquent borrowers through calls, letters, and emails to inform them of repayment options
• Counsel borrowers on deferment, forbearance, and rehabilitation requirements, and submit necessary forms
• Track and report activities to achieve departmental goals and maintain compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in call center default management or consumer loan collections
• Fundamental skill level in MS-Excel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
• Must be able to work evening and weekend shifts as necessary
