Student Payment Specialist

Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time remote Student Payment Specialist will assist students with financial matters, manage payment plans, and collaborate with financial aid staff to ensure students have a comprehensive financial plan.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implement student deferred payment plans, maintaining all related documentation in the student management system
• Assist students with inquiries regarding payment plans, balances, and ledgers while delivering timely communication
• Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 3+ years of collections or business/accounting-related work experience required
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting procedures
• Familiarity with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is desired
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple projects simultaneously
