Job Summary
Supporting a culturally grounded health pathway program, the part-time Student Worker for the Tilikum Program will provide logistical coordination, mentorship, and participant support during a hybrid summer enrichment experience for American Indian/Alaska Native undergraduate students, combining virtual instruction and in-person activities in Portland, Oregon.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, ensuring timely communication and support
- Assist with the setup, facilitation, and breakdown of program activities while escorting participants to events
- Act as a near-peer mentor for assigned participants, fostering relationship-building and cohort cohesion
Required qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Experience working with American Indian and/or Alaska Native organizations and communities
- Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds, particularly American Indian/Alaska Native students
- Intermediate computer skills using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills
