Job Summary
To support a growing organization, the full-time Subcontracts Administrator will manage proposal preparations, negotiate and administer subcontracts, and ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements, working in a hybrid environment from Herndon, Virginia or remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Develops competitive and single/sole source Request For Proposals (RFPs) for federal products and services
- Leads subcontractor negotiations concerning price, terms, and delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Monitors subcontractor performance and closes out subcontracts, including cost-reimbursable agreements, in a timely manner
Required qualifications
- US Citizenship is required
- High School degree with at least 5 years of experience in subcontract administration within a government contracting environment
- Comprehensive understanding of federal contracting requirements (FAR/DFAR)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work to agreed-upon schedules
- Additional training in contract law is required
