Subject Matter Expert Course Developer

Job Summary

To support the development of high-quality academic content, the part-time Subject Matter Expert Course Developer will design and create engaging online courses in collaboration with instructional designers and academic leadership, ensuring alignment with university standards and accreditation requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop complete online courses, including syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments, aligned with program outcomes
• Design authentic assessments and collaborate with instructional designers to prepare materials for asynchronous online delivery
• Ensure course content reflects current scholarship and industry best practices while maintaining compliance with copyright and accessibility standards

Required qualifications:

• Earned graduate degree in the applicable discipline from a regionally accredited institution
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise through graduate-level teaching or scholarly research
• Experience teaching or developing graduate-level curriculum
• Proficiency in using learning management systems and educational technologies
• Ability to independently manage projects and meet established deadlines
