Collaborating with academic leadership, the full-time Subject Matter Expert in Investigative Communication will develop online undergraduate courses focused on communication strategies for investigative contexts, ensuring content is engaging and accessible for diverse learners.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on course scope and specific learning outcomes for investigative communication
• Select and design content that supports effective investigative reporting and communication practices
• Develop applied assignments and collaborate with academic leadership in the course development process

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Criminal Justice, Environmental Policy, Communications, Public Administration, Law, Journalism, or a related field
• Professional experience in investigative reporting, enforcement communications, or related fields
• Strong understanding of professional writing and interviewing techniques
• Ability to create clear, student-facing instructional materials
