Substation CAD Technician

Job Summary

Supporting an assigned group of engineers, the full-time Substation CAD Technician II will provide technical drafting support and create construction drawings/designs while collaborating within the Substation department in Greenwood Village, CO.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and draft projects within the Substation department, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Utilize AutoCAD for creating construction drawings and support engineering tasks
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and embrace innovative technologies to enhance workflows

Required qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree or current enrollment in a Technical Drafting program preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in CAD drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of MicroStation and 3D modeling software is a plus
• Understanding of substation electrical protection and control or physical design is beneficial
• Permanent authorization to work in the US is required
