Substation CAD Technician

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Substation CAD Technician will create structural steel fabrication drawings, visualize steel structures in 2D and 3D, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering groups in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and detail structural steel fabrication drawings while adhering to steel standards and codes
• Visualize and interpret steel structure drawings in both 2D and 3D formats
• Design connection details and ensure compatibility with support steel and equipment

Required qualifications

• 3-7+ years of drafting experience in MicroStation and AutoCAD
• 2+ years of experience in creating structural steel fabrication drawings
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
