Substation Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Designer to create design drawing packages and documents for electric power substations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete drafting assignments on Protection & Control, SCADA, and Communications drawings
• Draft Physical Electrical drawings including General Arrangement, Electrical Plans, and Structural Details
• Support remote office overflow CAD workload as needed and coordinate with other CAD leads

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma with 1+ years (Level 2) or 2+ years (Level 3) of relevant experience
• Drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Knowledge of drafting standards, techniques, and procedures
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to create and modify drawings from engineer-provided markups
