Substation Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Designer to create design drawing packages for electric power substations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify electrical layout and plan drawings for substation equipment and structures
• Prepare electrical schematics and complete electrical wiring design drawings
• Review vendor equipment drawings and collaborate with other disciplines to complete assigned work

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field preferred
• 4+ years of substation design experience using CAD software in electric utility projects
• Solid comprehension of 2D and 3D design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Experience with EPC or other design-build contract types
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with multi-discipline groups
