Substation Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Physical Designer to support high- and extra-high-voltage substation design.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare substation general arrangement drawings and electrical equipment plans
• Create detailed bills of material and develop grounding and lightning stroke shielding plans
• Interpret vendor information and apply client standards to design deliverables

Required Qualifications

• Experience with substation physical design
• Associate's Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer assistance
• Knowledge of design techniques and engineering principles (preferred)
