Substation Designer

Job Summary

Collaborating with engineers and designers in high and extra high voltage substation design, the full-time remote Substation Designer will prepare various design deliverables, interpret vendor information, and conduct walkdowns at client facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, and other detailed design documents for substations
• Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables effectively
• Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities to ensure design accuracy

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Drafting or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical experience
• Minimum of 8 years of substation physical design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer assistance
