Substation Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

To support substation design projects, the full-time Substation Electrical Engineer will perform detailed design tasks, create technical specifications and drawings, and ensure adherence to client and industry standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare transformer sizing, feeder loading calculations, and project drawings in CAD or TED
• Ensure compliance with client and industry standards in design drawings and project specifications
• Coordinate project documentation and maintain organization of calculations and project filings

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; preference for electrical power
• At least two years of related experience in the industry
• EIT certification required; MSEE is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of engineering standard practices and the power delivery/substation interface
