Substation Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a talented Substation Engineer for a full-time remote position, who will provide technical support on physical and protection & control projects, prepare designs and execution plans, and ensure project success through collaboration with small project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs, execution plans, and engineering/project cost estimates
• Perform quality reviews and prepare construction drawings and calculations for medium and high voltage substation projects
• Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams and provide weekly updates on project progress to senior leaders

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the Substation/Power Delivery field
• Experience with high voltage substation design activities, including one-line diagrams and physical layouts
• Ability to interpret and apply standards such as IEEE, IEC, and NESC
• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Protection and Controls design is essential
