Substation Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Substation Engineer, the successful candidate will provide technical support on physical and protection & control (P&C) projects, prepare designs and execution plans, and collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs, execution plans, and engineering/project cost estimates
• Document quality reviews and prepare construction drawings for medium and high voltage substation projects
• Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams to execute substation projects and provide weekly progress updates to senior team leaders

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the Substation/Power Delivery field
• Experience with high voltage substation design, including one-line diagrams and physical layouts
• Ability to interpret and apply standards such as IEEE, IEC, and NESC
• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of Protection and Controls design is a must
