Substation Engineering Technician

Job Summary

Supporting a team of engineers, the full-time Substation Engineering Technician will provide technical drafting support by creating construction and removal drawings, including electrical one-lines and schematics, while ensuring attention to detail in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete demolition, design, and construction drafting work related to substations
• Create and interpret various electrical substation diagrams and layouts
• Assist with basic design tasks in addition to drafting responsibilities

Required qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or current enrollment in Technical Drafting program
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; MicroStation knowledge is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical substation drawings
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
