Substation Protection Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation P&C Designer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design substation protection and control drawing packages and documents for electric power substations using AutoCAD Electrical
• Complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation, ensuring compliance with National Electrical Safety Code
• Provide design markups to Drafters and develop Bill of Materials based on design criteria

Required Qualifications and Education

• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical with Substation Design Suite
• 2+ years of substation protection and control design experience, preferably in electric utility projects
• An associate degree in engineering technology or drafting technology is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Advanced comprehension of design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Word, and Excel
• Stable high-speed internet connection of at least 100Mbps
