Substation Protection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Protection & Controls Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Create electrical engineering plans and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects
• Provide design drawings and acquire knowledge of protective relaying and controls for substation systems
• Optimize electrical protection schemes and enhance automation in substation electrical design

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Intermediate experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical or Substation Design Suite for P&C
• Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering concepts for high-voltage substation equipment
• Prior experience in power delivery, transmission, or distribution is desirable
• Intermediate experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, VBA, or AutoLISP is a plus
