Supalite Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of Supabase Lite, the full-time remote Supalite Engineer will enhance API compatibility, expand the Supabase stack to SQLite, and improve the developer experience through tooling and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Grow API compatibility with the Supabase client, ensuring conformance to hosted Supabase
• Build and harden the path for upgrading projects from Supabase Lite to full Supabase
• Engage with design partners and the open-source community to refine product offerings

Required qualifications

• Substantial backend or full-stack experience with strong fluency in TypeScript
• Solid grounding in SQL and relational databases, with a curiosity about Postgres and SQLite differences
• Experience studying and matching behaviors of reference implementations in other languages
• Comfortable owning ambiguous, early-stage work and making informed decisions
• Bonus: experience with the Supabase stack or building developer CLIs
