Job Summary
Supervising outside counsel in the management of complex cases, the full-time remote Supervisory Attorney - Licensed in State will handle litigation, analyze cases for settlement, and oversee legal research while ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage litigation involving the corporation and its insured, adhering to professional responsibility codes
- Evaluate cases and seek settlements while overseeing outside counsel throughout the litigation process
- Conduct legal research, review motions and briefs, and provide feedback during litigation
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and admission to the state bar in the state of practice
- Demonstrated litigation experience and preparation of civil pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Solid knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law
- Coverage experience preferred
- Understanding of the rules of Professional Responsibility for the relevant jurisdiction
