Job Summary
Supervising a team of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists and Auditors, the full-time remote Supervisory Medical Records Technician will ensure the quality and completeness of clinical documentation while providing education and support to clinical staff on coding and documentation practices.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assess the quality of clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness, providing feedback to clinical staff
- Conduct educational sessions for providers on documentation processes and coding requirements, including E/M, CPT, and ICD-10 codes
- Monitor compliance with coding practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring ethical and accurate coding for all services provided
Required qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Records Technician or Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines
- Experience in clinical documentation review and provider education
- Proficiency with electronic health record applications and coding software
- Ability to analyze and interpret medical data for quality improvement initiatives
