Job Summary
Leading a technical team in a remote full-time capacity, the Supervisory Software Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and deployment of updates for a critical web portal supporting the Department of Homeland Security, ensuring effective national border security operations.
Key responsibilities
- Drive Software Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and deployment of updates and enhancements to the critical tracking and reporting web portal
- Agile Orchestration: Facilitate sprints, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospective reviews for the software development team
- Mitigate Risk: Identify software-specific project risks, security vulnerabilities, and deployment hurdles, designing swift, effective mitigation plans
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of software development program or software project management experience
- Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps frameworks, with proficiency in tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
