Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Driving continuous improvement initiatives, the contract Supplier Quality Engineer will evaluate Quality Management Systems, partner with sourcing groups to assess supplier capabilities, and track Key Performance Indicators while working remotely from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the company and suppliers to evaluate Quality Management Systems and drive improvement initiatives
• Partner with strategic sourcing and development groups to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
• Track and report Key Performance Indicators, proposing and executing quality improvement and cost-reduction plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 4+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing
• Experience in Supplier Quality and Medical Device industries
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies
• Proven ability to mentor less experienced engineers
