Job Summary
Working a weekend support schedule, the full-time Support Engineer will provide technical assistance to enterprise customers, focusing on complex database issues, SQL query behavior, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance support processes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide email and live technical support for complex technical issues and critical outages
- Identify product issues, perform QA, and submit bug reports or feature requests
- Collaborate with software developers and technical teams to ensure timely updates on customer issues
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of advanced customer-facing technical support experience
- Experience with MySQL or MySQL-like databases and SQL query optimization
- Solid sysadmin/QA/testing skills, including hands-on experience with Linux
- Proficiency in a scripting or coding language such as Python, Bash, or Go
- Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud services like AWS or GCP
