Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Support Engineer II will monitor and support mainframe and server backup production schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements during the 3rd shift from midnight to 8 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot production schedules and workflow processes to address operating issues
- Triage and resolve basic issues to minimize system downtime and ensure timely completion of production schedules
- Assist in deploying new software and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Required qualifications
- Ability to work 3rd shift (midnight - 8 AM) in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
- Experience with IBM scheduling and strong mainframe knowledge
- Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) and job restart procedures
- Familiarity with ROSCOE and production control processes
- Experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is a plus
