Job Summary

Acting as an advocate for patients, the full-time Support Services Specialist II will facilitate coverage for medical expenses by researching and reconciling accounts, communicating with clients and payers, and managing daily account functions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Create, maintain, and file various accounting reports and correspondence
  • Research and reconcile accounts while interacting with patients and utilizing medical billing systems
  • Assist with escalated customer issues and provide training to team members as a subject matter expert
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient financial services or insurance collections
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial and government insurance plans, as well as medical terminology
  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining HIPAA compliance
