Job Summary
Providing trauma-informed support, the part-time NSAH Support Specialist for the National Sexual Assault Hotline will assist users via inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats during overnight shifts from Tuesday to Thursday, 11:00 PM ET to 7:00 AM ET, while maintaining high-quality service delivery and collaboration with fellow staff members.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize crisis intervention best practices to provide compassionate support to hotline users
- Answer inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats, offering timely and accurate assistance
- Complete regular training and maintain knowledge of the specific needs of various client populations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in social services, customer service, or crisis intervention
- Fluency in English; Spanish fluency may be required for certain roles
- Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum score of 35 WPM
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications for communication and data management
- Must be 18 years of age or older and complete a criminal background check
