Job Summary
Providing trauma-informed support, the part-time Support Specialist for the National Sexual Assault Hotline will assist users through inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats while working remotely during scheduled shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM ET to 7:00 AM ET.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate crisis intervention and support to hotline users, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Maintain knowledge of client-specific needs and provide timely referrals and resources to users
- Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance efforts to enhance service delivery and support team collaboration
Required qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in social services, customer service, or crisis intervention
- Proficiency in English; Spanish fluency may be required for certain roles
- Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum score of 35 WPM
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications for communication and data management
- Must be 18 years of age or older and complete a criminal background check
