Job Summary
Providing trauma-informed support, the part-time NSAH Support Specialist will deliver high-quality assistance to users of the National Sexual Assault Hotline during evening shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats, offering compassionate support and appropriate referrals
- Utilize crisis intervention best practices and maintain knowledge of the specific needs of hotline users
- Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and assist in quality assurance efforts
Required qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in social services, customer service, or direct client support/crisis intervention
- Fluency in English; Spanish fluency may be required for certain roles
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications
- Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum score of 35 WPM
- Must be comfortable discussing issues surrounding sexual violence
