Surgery Scheduler

Job Summary

To support a dynamic surgical team, the part-time Float Surgery Scheduler will manage scheduling for multiple physicians, coordinate patient care logistics, and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clinical workloads by answering patient calls and directing inquiries appropriately
• Schedule surgeries across multiple locations using Epic and ensure all necessary documentation is uploaded to patient records
• Coordinate treatment plans and respond to special patient requests, including obtaining estimates and scheduling appointments

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting with complex patient scheduling
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Broad knowledge of medical front office operations and medical terminology
• Familiarity with insurance plans and ICD/CPT coding
