Surgery Scheduler

Job Summary

To support the Surgical Oncology team, the part-time Surgery Scheduler will manage surgical schedules, coordinate patient care across multiple specialties, and serve as a liaison between patients and physicians, all while working 100% remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the assigned physicians' clinical workload, including answering patient calls and directing inquiries appropriately
• Schedule patient surgeries and obtain necessary documentation using Epic across multiple locations
• Coordinate treatment care plans and handle administrative duties for assigned physicians

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting with exposure to complex patient scheduling
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Broad knowledge of medical front office operations and medical terminology
• Familiarity with insurance plans and ICD/CPT coding
