Job Summary

Coordinating surgical cases and outpatient procedures, the part-time Surgery Scheduler - CA will manage scheduling for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures while ensuring timely communication and documentation for pre-operative appointments in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate surgery cases and outpatient procedures for the department of surgery and associated divisions
• Ensure all documentation is complete and pre-op tests are ordered in a timely manner
• Direct patient calls regarding pre-op instructions and post-op questions

Required qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
• Two years of work experience in a medical environment; two years of medical office experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
