Surgical Technology Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

Engaging students in a remote part-time capacity, the Surgical Technology Adjunct Faculty will teach courses, contribute to academic service, and participate in the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Teaching and facilitating learning experiences for students in the Surgical Technology program
• Contributing to academic and institutional service through participation in faculty meetings and committees
• Engaging in the scholarship of teaching and learning to enhance educational practices and student outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program with national certification
• At least 2 years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology within the past 5 years
• Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining positive interactions with students and faculty
• Knowledge of programmatic accreditation standards established by CAAHEP for Surgical Technology programs
