Job Summary
Detail-oriented and self-directed, the remote Surplus Lines Tax Analyst will manage filings, reports, and reconciliations of surplus lines taxes across all states while assisting with client correspondence and project management in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurately complete state regulatory surplus lines tax filings and reconcile filings with the InsCipher Connect platform
- Maintain knowledge of surplus lines tax regulations and assist with research to ensure compliance for each state and jurisdiction
- Provide excellent customer service, document all correspondence, and build positive working relationships with clients and team members
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of filing experience or 3+ years of accounting, compliance, or insurance-related experience
- Intermediate skills in Excel or other spreadsheet software
- Knowledge of surplus lines is a plus
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and time management skills
